Successful implementation of evidence-based practice: Hard work or good luck?

With increasing demands for improved patient outcomes, greater accountability and enhanced patient safety, clinicians are driven to embrace and integrate knowledge into health care practice. A range of different frameworks and models have been developed and applied for implementing Evidence-based Practice, involving interaction between the context, researchers and end users to propose pathways to closing the gap between research knowledge and its application to treatment options, policy and practice.

The three-day conference provides a unique platform to exchange ideas and showcase experiences and lessons learned for implementing Evidence-based Practice in a manner that contributes to effective policy, practice, and programs. It is a unique opportunity to engage with like-minded researchers, policymakers, practitioners, community, and organizational leaders from around the world.

The topics of interest include: Knowledge Translation, and how Evidence is used at the point of care; Clinical decision making; Evidence-based Practice and the roles of government and of the patient; Quality Improvement, Research and Education.
