18th Global Development Conference

The Campbell Collaboration is co-partnering with the Global Development Network’s 18th Annual Global Development Conference, titled Science, Technology & Innovation for Development 22-23 March 2018, at the ISID Complex in New Delhi, India. The conference will be a forum where global actors from government, research, the private sector and civil society can share knowledge and practices on innovative initiatives to address the development challenges of today and tomorrow. Discussions will enable progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The thematic focus of the conference is threefold: Global Health ChallengesSustainable Agriculture & Skills, Employment and Industrial Transition.

The Campbell Collaboration will also hold a panel discussion on labour market policies.

The conference will feature examples of research, programs, and policies that either develop innovation as a thematic axis or concretely use technological progress to improve living conditions and well-being in developing countries. It will present state-of-the-art initiatives that have a direct impact on development outcomes, by fostering South-South academic collaboration on the Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) agenda and attempting to mainstream science, technology, and innovation into global development debates.
