Protocol Development Workshop 13-14 Dec 2017, India

Objectives: This workshop is to support author teams which have submitted TRFs for publication in Campbell Library. The workshop will introduce the participants to the various components of a Campbell Review Protocol, and MECCIR standards.

Methods: This workshop includes lectures, discussion, group and computer exercises. Participants should bring their own laptops and should download Cochrane’s RevMan software from this site: http://community.cochrane.org/tools/review-production-tools/revman-5/revman-5-download prior to the workshop. 

Instructors: Dr. Howard White (CEO, Campbell Collaboration), Hugh Waddington (Co-Chair, International Development Coordinating Group (IDCG), Campbell Collaboration), Denny John (Evidence Synthesis Specialist, Campbell Collaboration), and Ashrita Saran (Evidence Synthesis Specialist, Campbell Collaboration).

A limited number of bursaries are available for travel and accommodation for participants from out of Delhi.

09.30-10.30    Exercise: draft coding forms 

10.30-11.00    Break 

11.00-11:30    Risk of Bias approaches in various review types, critical appraisal 

11.30-12.00    Exercise: Identify critical appraisal tools to be used 

12.00-12.45     Synthesis: GRADE, Summary of Findings, Meta-analysis, Qualitative & Mixed Methods, Cost-effectiveness analysis                                  

12.45-13.45     Lunch
