There are several working groups and joint Cochrane-Campbell groups that conduct research and develop guidelines and recommendations for specific components of research synthesis. These groups are forums for discussion on research models, and provide advice on specific topics of methodology and methods policy. They also provide training and support to reviewers, editors, and those who wish to undertake a systematic review.
Campbell Methods working groups
Replication in systematic reviews
Cochairs: Xiuxia Li and Howard White, Lanzhou University, China
Qualitative evidence synthesis
This working group is developing guidelines for Campbell and the Collaboration for Environmental Evidence on Qualitative Evidence Synthesis (QES). QES are systematic reviews of the findings of qualitative research on a specific topic or phenomenon. They can be stand-alone or relate to a specific quantitative review.

Information retrieval
This group supports the work of review authors, and develops methodology and documentation to ensure the high quality and reproducibility of searches for Campbell reviews. The working group also explores innovative methods to search for and identify studies for reviews across the social science disciplines.
