New Co-chair for Campbell Climate Solutions Coordinating Group

We are pleased to announce the election of Hugh Sharma Waddington as Co-chair of the Campbell Climate Solutions Coordinating Group (CSCG).

Hugh is Assistant Professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the London International Development Centre (LIDC) in the UK. He has led commissioning and quality assurance of over 100 systematic reviews and impact evaluations for the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) together with the Australian, Canadian, UK, US governments, United Nations and international NGOs.

Hugh set up 3ie’s London Office and Evidence Synthesis Programme at LIDC. He was also co-founder and elected Co-chair (2014-19) of Campbell’s International Development Coordinating Group.

In his personal statement, Hugh wrote, “My vision is that CSCG is publishing a large number of reviews on priority topics, which are influential in decision making circles, and produced by strong author, editorial and stakeholder advisor bases. I want to help CSCG achieve this by leading and supporting review production and infrastructure, and engagement with commissioners and end-users.”

The Campbell Collaboration is an international social science research network. Campbell groups coordinate the production and promote the use of high-quality, policy-relevant evidence syntheses such as systematic reviews and evidence and gap maps which are published in our open access journal, Campbell Systematic Reviews, and used by policymakers around the world.
