The John Dirks Canada Gairdner Global Health Award 2022 recognises Zulfiqar Bhutta’s outstanding work in global health research and interventions in the “first 1,000 days” (pregnancy, childbirth and the first two years) of life.
Jeremy Grimshaw, President of the Campbell Board, congratulated Zulfi and commented that this award is a “well-deserved recognition for an amazing scientist who has contributed so much to global health”.
“We count ourselves very lucky to have Dr Bhutta on our Board and as founding Co-chair of the Campbell International Development Coordinating Group’s Sub-group on Nutrition,” said Vivian Welch, interim CEO of Campbell.
