On 8 Feburary 2022, President of the Campbell Board Dr Jeremy Grimshaw announced that Campbell Editor in Chief Vivian Welch has been appointed interim CEO. He wrote:
As planned, Dr Howard White stepped down as CEO of Campbell on 1 February 2022. As CEO (2015-2022), Howard led innovations in governance, publishing, staffing, evidence synthesis products and tools to support evidence use in decision-making. These innovations led to a doubling in Campbell publications as well as increased impact on global public policy. Howard will continue to provide scientific leadership on existing Campbell research contracts working with Campbell South Asia and other global partners.
As of 1 February 2022, Dr Vivian Welch has been named as interim CEO of the Campbell Collaboration. Vivian will continue in her role as Editor in Chief. We would like to thank Howard for his leadership and innovations which have advanced our mission of better evidence for a better world through both production and use of rigorous systematic reviews in the social sciences.
