New funding for reviews in policing

Funding for Campbell Systematic Reviews on topics related to policing are currently being offered by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA), and administered through the Center for Evidence Based Crime Policy (CEBCP) at George Mason University.

The attached request for proposal (RFP) is soliciting proposals for systematic research on policing that fall within the topics of:

  • the effect of innovative policing programs
  • standard models of policing
  • evaluations of technology in policing
  • legitimacy in policing

Multiple grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded for full systematic reviews, and where appropriate, grants of up to $25,000 may be awarded for systematic searches.

Systematic reviews should focus on areas related to one or more of the topics of interest where there is a known body of empirical research. These systematic reviews will be required to follow the Campbell Collaboration process for review development and review approval.
