The editorial, published on May 21, praises the Campbell Colloquium as "a radical and impressive gathering that promised new ways to address urgent issues in health and social care today".
In his paper, Bjørndal stresses the importance of evidence-informed social policy as a basis for health and equity, stating that "health for all is only possible through the provision of jobs, education, crime prevention, housing and strong social welfare systems". He also points out that "good intentions (..) and millions of dollars" are insufficient in bringing about social welfare, employment opportunities and good education, and calls for increased engagement of reasearchers, policy makers, and practitioners in creating a world library of systematic reviews.
