Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The award is for research that informs public policy in the areas of sociology, psychology, education, criminology, and social welfare. Research that informs public policy in other fields outside the ambit of the Campbell Collaboration is not eligible;
- The award may be given for
- a paper that advances the use of rigorous evidence to inform public policy,
- a body of work that uses or promotes rigorous evidence in public policy, or
- a paper that uses rigorous evidence to inform public policy,
- lifetime contributions to evidence-based public policy;
- The award is not limited to the use of systematic reviews;
- If the award is given for a single paper that paper should have been published no more than two calendar years earlier.
To nominate someone for the Robert Boruch Award, please send a letter of nomination, a recent vita of the candidate while carefully noting the specific publication or body of work to be considered by the Nominations Committee to Terri Pigott.
The Nominations Committee is comprised of the members of the Campbell Methods Group Advisory Board.
The decision rests with the Campbell Steering Group following a recommendation by the Nominations Committee.
The presentation of the award takes place during the Annual Colloquium.
