The Campbell Collaboration Users Group (C2UG) wants to engage organisations (public or private) with a responsibility for translating research into practice and policy, and those with an interest in and/or knowledge of the utilization of systematic review knowledge.
Although there are many ways to reach and engage users of research evidence, the C2UG is currently working on two main activities:
- Producing user friendly summaries (User Abstracts) of review findings.
- Working to actively engage users in the review production process.
User Abstracts
The C2UG has developed a standard template for producing user abstracts based on Campbell systematic reviews. More than 15 abstracts are available and more are in production. The user abstracts can be found alongside the review they are based on.

User Involvement in the Review Process
A range of user involvement in the systematic review process is proposed, ranging from determining what the review is about and helping to select the outcomes of importance, to determining the need for a review and involvement throughout all stages of production and dissemination.
