New C2 Head Office
The Campbell Collaboration’s Head Office is now hosted by the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services and is located in Oslo, Norway.

Eamonn Noonan has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Campbell Collaboration. Dr. Noonan has worked as a public servant in Ireland, Belgium and Norway, and as a researcher in Italy and Germany. As the first Irish diplomat ever posted to Norway he set up a new Embassy in Oslo. In the European Parliament he was deputy head of the Human Rights Unit, and also worked on EU enlargement. Most recently he was chief clerk of Norway’s Contact Committee on Immigration (KIM). He is a graduate of University College Cork and of the European University Institute in Florence. His doctoral dissertation dealt with British and German commercial policy in the 1930s. Camilla Chausse previously worked as Information Officer in the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration and for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She has also worked for the Human Rights House Foundation, the Norwegian Ministry of Defence and within advertising. She holds a BA/BS in Economics and Political Science from the University of Utah, USA, and an MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics. Consultation Requested on Draft Strategic Plan
The Campbell Collaboration is currently seeking reactions to its draft strategic plan (click here to access). The plan describes C2's goals and main activities. The Steering Group invites comments on every aspect of the plan. Feedback is requested from all persons engaged in The Campbell Collaboration, in any capacity and at all levels within C2. Mark Lipsey Elected as Incoming Co-Chair, Effective May 2008
In December 2007, Mark Lipsey was elected as C2's Steering Group Co-chair elect [Co-chairs are elected by SG members to three-year terms that are renewable (by re-election) once.]. His term will begin in May 2008.

Mark Lipsey is Director of the Center for Evaluation Research and Methodology at Vanderbilt University's Institute for Public Policy Studies. A world known expert on meta-analysis, he is recipient of the Campbell Collaboration's Mosteller Award for his work in this arena.  He has also received the American Evaluation Association's Paul Lazersfeld Award and the Society for Prevention Research's Tobler Award.  Lipsey is co-author of Evaluation: A Systematic Approach (Seventh Edition) and of Practical Meta-analysis, both published by Sage.  Steering Group Meeting Minutes

C2 is determined to be a transparent, democratic and vibrant organization. We will work both from the bottom-up (most importantly by producing reviews) and from the top-down (i.e. setting policies). We will regularly post minutes from past Steering Group-meetings and agendas for upcoming meetings.

Upcoming Steering Group Meeting Agenda

The last Steering Group meeting took place in Oslo, Norway from the 7th-10th of March 2008. The next meeting will take place in Vancouver, Canada prior to the start of the 2008 Colloquium.

Anybody active in C2 can put an item on the agenda for the Steering Group by:

  1. Writing half a page about the issue, including suggestions for discussion and action, and
  2. Sending it to one of the Steering Group Co-chairs at least three weeks before the meeting.
