Randomized Field Trials
SPECTR
SPECTR is an important means for identifying prospective randomized trials, a potential ingredient of the Collaboration’s systematic reviews. One primary purpose for maintaining SPECTR is to enable people who are interested in studies of the effects of interventions to be informed about newly initiated trials and to track the progress of trials. Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania (USA), the SPECTR database contains over 11,700 entries on randomized and possibly randomized trials. Each record in the registry contains citation and availability information, and usually an abstract. Access to SPECTR is provided free of charge to the public via the internet.
