Systematic review workshops
1. Toronto, Canada (November 20-21, 2008)
The workshop was aimed at researchers who are working on, or planning to start work on, a systematic review. The training focused on both lecture and small group work, where individuals had the opportunity to work with the details of their review question.

Betsy Becker (Florida State University, USA), Therese Pigott (Loyola University Chicago, USA), and Julia Littell (Bryn Mawr College, USA).
2. Leiden, Netherlands (August 18-20, 2008)
This workshop was aimed at researchers who are working on, or planning to start work on, a systematic review. The instruction covered topics from the history of systematic reviewing to literature searching to coding guide development and study coding. Presentations included statistical training on effect sizes, meta-analysis, and fixed and random effects models. The training materials are available in the Resource Center.
