Oslo Pass
The Oslo Pass gives you free entry to 35 museums and attractions and free travel on all public transport, among other things. Cards are valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours from the time you stamp it.
Along with the Oslo Pass, you will receive a booklet, describing all the benefits for Oslo Pass-holders. The Oslo Pass is for sale at Tourist Information Centres, hotels, campsites, youth hostels and some museums. You can also buy the Oslo Pass online.
Underground, tram and bus
Tickets for public transport in Oslo are valid for the underground, trams and buses. The price is NOK 25 (pre bought) or NOK 36 (bought on board) for a single ticket, which lasts for an hour with unlimited transfer. Tickets are available from ticket machines placed at most stops, or in shops like Narvesen or Seven-Eleven.

If you are caught travelling without a valid ticket, the fine is NOK 1000!

City Bikes (Oslo Bysykkel)
The city bikes are available from a large number of bike stations around the city. You need an electronic smartcard to use the bikes. You are allowed to use a bike for a maximum of 3 hours - then you have to return it to a station (any one of them), and you can immediately loan a new bike if you wish. The bike stations are open 6 am - midnight.

Tourists can rent a smartcard to be used for bike rental at the Tourist Information. This costs NOK 80 for one day. Additionally, a credit card is needed as a deposit.
