2007 Jerry Lee Crime Prevention Symposium
Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the Planning Committee for the 7th Annual Jerry Lee Crime Prevention Symposium, we cordially invite you to attend this year's event, to be held at the University of Maryland on April 23rd and Washington, DC on April 24th 2007. Once again, the focus of the Symposium is on the work of the Campbell Collaboration's Crime and Justice Group.
As you can see from the attached program, the first day will begin promptly at 1:00 pm at the University of Maryland Inn & Conference Center, in College Park, Maryland. The first day consists of five presentations with a focus on methodological and implementation issues pertaining to randomized experiments and meta-analysis.
The second day will open at 8:30 am with a continental breakfast and presentations will begin 9:00 am at the National Guard Association Walsh-Reckord Hall of States Building at One Massachusetts Ave., NW in Washington, DC. The second day consists of presentations of research results on two key criminal justice topics-problem-oriented policing strategies for reducing crime and the effects of outpatient treatment for drug involved offenders-followed by reactions from leading practitioners and policymakers. The second day also features a roundtable discussion pertaining to the future of federally funded crime research.
