Biography for Jacqueline Mallender

Jacqueline is joint Managing Director of Matrix Knowledge Group (www.matrixknowledge.co.uk) and has overall responsibility for project delivery and quality standards. She has a public sector economics and service planning background and has worked in the public service arena for the last twenty years. Jacque started her career as a Government economist, firstly in the then DHSS and latterly in H.M Treasury. She worked as an independent research consultant in the late 1980?s and early 1990?s until she set up the MHA partnership in 1992. The MHA partnership became Matrix Knowledge Group some ten years later. Since leaving the civil service, she has directed many research and consultancy projects for clients working in the public sector, including Government departments, and local health and social care organisations. She is currently project director for a number of national policy evaluation, and consultancy assignments for the UK Department of Health, the UK Home Office, and the UK Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Jacqueline is a convenor of the joint Campbell and Cochrane Economics Methods Group which supports those involved in preparing systematic reviews of research evidence on both Collaborations. The group aims to be at the forefront of development in cost benefit analysis and economic evaluation methods across the public sector research.
