Biography for Vicente Garrido
Vicente Garrido is an Associate Professor in Criminal Psychology and Correctional Education at Valencia University (Spain). Born in 1958, he has extensive experience in researching about different areas as treatment of criminal and delinquent behaviour, prevention of youth offences and effectiveness of correctional programmes. He has published several books in spanish about those subjects, and several papers in journal of UK and USA, including the Journal of Correctional Education, the Yearbook of the Correctional Education, Criminal Behaviour and Mental Health, Psychology, Crime & The Law, and others. He coedited the volume "New developments in Psychology and Law" (1997, De Gruyter) and is an editorial board member of several journal in Spain and other countries. He was an international counsulter for United Nations in Latin America during the period 1997-1998.
